Matt is thrilled to lead the adult tennis programs at Balboa Tennis Club. Tennis runs in his blood, and his passion for the sport is apparent within minutes of meeting him. The 250+ adults who play weekly in Balboa’s programs form the largest community for adult tennis players of any club in San Diego.
In 2019, Matt and his father Billy co-authored their first book, “The Previdi System 90 Day Doubles Diet,” which brought their systematic approach to coaching adult doubles players to the masses. Matt is also a well-known racket customizer and equipment consultant. He leads the stringing team annually at the Kalamazoo boy’s nationals, has strung Rafael Nadal’s rackets at Indian Wells, and is a racket consultant and customizer for several ATP top 50 players. Every day, Matt aims to help tennis players reduce their risk of injury and improve their performance and enjoyment of the game through targeted equipment curation. He is also the founder and administrator of “Unstrung Heroes,” the largest Facebook group for racket stringers, customizers, and tennis equipment gurus online.

Taylor Dupre

Taylor Dupre is a seasoned tennis professional with over two decades of playing and coaching experience. A former Division I athlete at Stetson University, he has coached at elite programs including the John McEnroe Tennis Academy and has worked with top players and recreational athletes alike. Now based in San Diego, Taylor continues to share his passion for the game while maintaining strong ties with clients on both coasts. Off the court, he’s a dedicated husband, father of two, and avid marathon runner.

There I was blessed to be surrounded by remarkable coaches that influenced my coaching style in putting fun in the fundamentals of the sport. In 2010 I pursued my goal and moved to San Diego where I encouraged the joy of tennis at after school programs and at notable tennis clubs like Barnes and University City Racquet Club. Since October of 2023 I have been honored to be part of Balboa Tennis Club, where I continue to lead and serve our community to discover the champion within.

- He had his thesis published, which specialized in the tennis serve, back rehab and how to create a healthy program for overhead athletes and their shoulder mobility. He also authored other papers on how to create and perform a fitness program for tennis.
